I’m that person who loves finding the perfect gift. When others are stressing out about what to buy someone, I take joy in searching for the present that will mean so much to a loved one.
The right gift shows someone how well you really know them, how much you care for and appreciate them. I look forward to seeing the look on their face, their emotions and reactions when they come to unwrap their surprise.
For me, showing others I care brings me happiness, and after all, isn’t that what it’s all about - being happy and spreading happiness?
With such busy lives, full of commitments and stresses, being able to make people feel amazing is an incredible thing to be able to do. The gift of giving, whether that is giving a physical present, giving your time, even giving your heart (it is the month of love, after all!) is so important to our own wellbeing and that of those around us.
A gift is so much more than the item you choose - it’s the meaning behind it, the love it’s shrouded in. So next time you ‘have to pick up a present’ for someone, why not take a moment for yourself and remember a happy time you spent with them. Use that memory to help you choose something meaningful, something memorable.
